NY'S BROKE REVUE band is really amazing! Dan collaborated in England with BILLY CHILDISH AND THEE HEADCOATS, toured a lot with HOLLY GOLIGHTLY and appear in more then 10 albums! Dan is one of the few people who can do the country-blues thing with the right emotional intensity and passion: just listen to his versions of Skip James, Fred McDowell, Robert Wilkins songs! The Broke Revue records (two LPs are on the InTheRed label) are some of the best stuff around! This Hate LP (with all unreleased stuff from their very early days) includes such a beautiful selections of american folk, country-blues, angry "rockin" blues-influenced songs and a couple of traditional melting instros! A must! The CD version include 2 bonus.
